Cathedral Engagement Rings

Cathedral Engagement Rings: A few of the dissimilarities amongst 14K white gold, 18K white gold and platinum solitaire engagement rings:

White gold is a combination of pure gold and metallic alloys that give it a white color. The alloys most commonly used are silver and palladium (a less expensive member of the platinum family). Traditionally, nickel was used in making white gold, but is no longer used, because some people are allergic to it. 18k white gold is composed of 75% pure gold and 25% of whitening alloys. 14K white gold is composed of 58.3% pure gold and 41.7% of whitening alloys. 10K white gold is composed of 41.7% of pure gold and 58.3% of whitening alloys.
